Disaster Recovery
Using a standard development methodology for disaster recovery planning, Partners Consulting employs a two-stage approach. Stage 1 addresses the 'logical' view of the client's IT environment by gathering and documenting information about the current applications, hardware, software, networks and telecommunications. Project Management
Most of us practice project management throughout our day without even knowing it. But there is a significant difference between carrying out a very simple project involving one or two people and a project involving a complex mix of resources, organizations and tasks.
Small projects can be captured and tracked on paper with a few simple elements: a start date, an end date, the tasks that have to be carried out and when they should be finished, with some idea of the resources (people, machines, etc.) needed during the course of the project.
When the plan starts to involve different things happening at different times, some of which are dependent on each other, plus resources required at different times and in different quantities and perhaps working at different rates, the paper plan starts to fall apart.
